Kevin Smith is coming out with a new film!

According to Cinema Blend Kevin Smith is working on his next film.  Surprisingly enough he has not written this upcoming film A Couple of Cops.

Kevin Smith has directed his own fair share of movies including Clerks, Mallrats, Dogma. These titles have accumulated a cult following, giving Smith his fare share of fame. However, Smith was not only the director for all of his films so far, he was also the writer.  This film will be the first one that he will have stepped behind the helm to direct that he did not write.

Being a huge fan of everything Smith does, I am kind of excited to see what he will do behind something that he has not had complete creative control over from step 1, and how he does bringing someone else's creative vision to the big screen.

A Couple of Cops will supposedly star Bruce Willis and Tracey Morgan, and will probably end up coming out late 2009 or early 2010.

Watching the Watchmen

So I got the opportunity to go to the press screenings for Watchmen in both Boston and Providence over the past two days. All I can say for now is that it is everything that I have been expecting and it should be one of the best films of 2009. It deserves to be seen just as a piece of art, and everyone should just go see it for that reason alone.
